There are many reasons to go to an attorney for advice.  One of those reasons are when you allow a traffic ticket to go past the appearance date without contacting the court.

WHAT IS THE APPEARANCE DATE:  An appearance date is time you are allowed by law to wait until contacting the court.  For instance you get a citation today.  The appearance date may state that you must contact the court within 10 days or risk being arrested.  By signing the citation, you are promising that you will contact Dallas Municipal Court prior to the date.  Dallas Municipal Court allows 21 days for you to review your citation before entering your case into warrant status.  Once 21 days has passed you will automatically be put into the warrant queue.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER THE WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED?  We recommend you hire a Dallas ticket attorney to assist you in lifting the warrant and keeping you out of jail prior to being arrested.  A Dallas warrant attorney will post a surety bond on your behalf for a small fee compared to the total amount of the ticket.  Usually fees run anywhere from $90.00 for a person that is not in jail to as high as $150.00 to make a bond run on a person that is currently incarcerated.

If you have a citation that is in warrant call our Dallas lawyers to discuss your particular matter.  We would be glad to assist you in any way possible.  214-321-4105
